African American Health

African Americans are often faced with health and wellness issues unique, or more prevalent to, our race. At the very top of our health concerns is the need for regular health care, and finding affordble health plans. We sometimes are hesitant to seek medical care from a doctor for illness, tending to ignore minor medical problems until they escalate to life-threatening. This section of BlackFamilyLiving is intended to help African Americans locate adequate health care resources in an effort to reverse this dangerous trend.
